PXE - A Brief History

Pre-boot Execution Environment is a technology promoted by Intel Architecture Laboratories to enable PCs to boot from remote filesystems. It has been widely adopted and is a certification requirement for Microsoft Logo for new desktop PCs.

This page is a placeholder, but will eventually expand to include a set of links to other PXE related sites, information about how to set up various PXE servers and other useful (or not :) information.

Update: As always in this world, things pass you by. This page will never be what I want it to be, but the Wikipedia enty comes close. Check it out, or see the blog link.
